Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RPG Army Bot ("the Bot"), a Discord application developed and operated by the RPG Army community. By adding the Bot to a server, or by interacting with it on a server where it is present, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Bot.

2. Description of Service

The Bot provides server administration and moderation tooling for the RPG Army Discord server, including:

Moderation commands (warnings, mutes, kicks, bans) and a staff dashboard
Automated rule enforcement (forbidden-word detection, anti-spam, anti-cheat, honeypot anti-raid protection)
Automated inactivity pruning
RPG quest statistics tracking
Reaction roles, partnership embeds, and other community-management utilities

Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Bot or any specific feature.

3. Eligibility

You must meet Discord's own minimum age requirement (currently 13 years) and comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines to use the Bot. Use of the Bot is also subject to the rules of the individual server it operates in.

4. Acceptable Use

By using the Bot, you agree that you will not:

Attempt to exploit, abuse, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Bot's normal operation
Use the Bot to violate Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or applicable law
Use the Bot to harass, spam, or abuse other users
Attempt to circumvent moderation actions taken against you or another account (e.g. ban evasion)

Violating these Terms or the server's own rules may result in moderation action, up to and including a ban, in line with our Privacy Policy.

5. Moderation Actions & Appeals

Moderation actions taken by the Bot or by staff using the Bot (warnings, mutes, kicks, bans) are enforced at the discretion of RPG Army staff based on the server's rules. If you believe an action was taken in error, you may appeal via our appeal server: discord.gg/qSeTFE2xzq.

6. No Warranty

The Bot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Bot will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RPG Army and the developers of the Bot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Bot — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access to a server, or moderation actions taken in good faith based on automated detection.

8. Termination & Removal

We may suspend or terminate the Bot's functionality, remove it from a server, or restrict a user's access to specific features at any time, with or without notice, in particular in response to abuse, a violation of these Terms, or a request from Discord.

A server admin may remove the Bot from their server at any time. Removing the Bot does not automatically delete data already stored — see our Privacy Policy for retention and deletion details.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Bot after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For significant changes, we will post an announcement in our Discord server.
